Travel Visa to Australia

All visitors to Australia who are not Australian citizens or holding a New Zealand passport must have a valid entry visa in order to travel to and stay in Australia. Please check well in advance with your nearest Australian Embassy or via your travel agent regarding your specific entry visa requirements.
Depending on your current country of passport, you are encouraged to apply as early as 3 months before your scheduled date of arrival for the appropriate entry visa. The latest you should apply is 4-6 weeks before your scheduled date of arrival.

Each participant is responsible for applying for an entry visa at their nearest Australian Embassy. In order to speed up the process, the ISME 12 Symposium Secretariat is liaising with the Australian Department of Immigration and Citizenship’s International Event Coordinator Network (IECN)  to facilitate visa applications made by registered participants of ISME 12. Registered ISME 12 participants’ names will be forwarded by the Symposium Secretariat to the IECN.

Please attach the registration confirmation letter you receive from the Symposium Secretariat when sending your visa application.
