Panoramic City Tour + Roman City Ita'lica. The
tour begins with a scenic drive viewing the city's surroundings. After this short
drive we proceed to visit the old Roman city of Ita'lica, over which the modern
town of Santiponce was built. | | Escipion
the African founded Ita'lica in 206 B.C, after the "battle against the Cartaginenses".
In this place he left all those men blessed in the war and in memory of their
place of origin he called it Ita'lica. In the II century Ita'lica gave birth to
two of the main Roman Emperors, Trajano and Adriano. It was under the rule of
the last one that it gained its title as Colony Aelia Augusta Ita'lica. Nowadays
we can admire the remains of its glorious splendor: its "houses" with
beautiful mosaics, the still paved "streets", its extraordinary "drains"
and "thermes" and overall its wonderful "amphitheatre", which
is the 3rd biggest in the world. The "theatre", placed in the center
of Santiponce, offers a unique show in this incredible setting: the festival of
Greek and Latin Theatre. Rate: 44 Euro per person. (Lunch included | |

to the Caliphal City Of Cordoba Ancient Cordoba, city of Caliphs,
is one of Spain's oldest cities and the greatest embodiment of Moorish heritage
in all Andalucia. From the 8th to the 11th centuries, the Moorish emirs and caliphs
of the west held court here, and the city became one of the western world's greatest
centers of art, culture, and learning. Moors, Christians and Jews lived together
in peace within its walls. | | Against
this background we can view the majestic Mosque of Cordoba "La Mezquita".
This impressive Arabian mosque, the third -biggest in the world, was called the
most beautiful and original building of all Spain. This Mezquita initiated the
Caliphal style, which combined Roman, Gothic, Byzantine, Syrian and Persian elements
and was the starting -point of all Arabian-Hispanic architecture to come. Rate:

to the ancient village of Aracena. It is the most important point
of the mountain range of the same name. The city of Aracena has been inhabited
since old times. Thus, we can find remains of the III millennium BC in the caves
called "Cuevas de Umbra." Remains of the II millennium BC reside in
the village of Castanuelo, where there are also remains from the Celtic culture
of the V century BC. But it was in the 1st century, when the Romans arrived to
explode its mines, when the town of Aracena was born. The main attractiveness
of the city resides in the "Gruta de las Maravillas", beautiful caves
of stalactites with a big underground lake. | | Rate:
