It is our pleasure to invite you to the next (ISOPT V) meeting scheduled to take place in Monte Carlo, Monaco, March 11-14, 2004.

The title of the earlier ISOPP meetings has been modified to "The International Symposium of Ocular Pharmacology and Therapeutics" (ISOPT) to better emphasize the clinical therapeutic angle of the meeting.

Comprehensive ophthalmology is ever so demanding with expanding ocular therapeutic modalities: Pathologies that were solely amenable to surgical approaches are now being dealt with new drugs specifically designed for ophthalmic use. Introducing new pharmaceuticals to enhance surgical techniques and the use of surgery for better drug delivery of pharmaceuticals are becoming daily procedures.

ISOPT attendees will be updated on therapeutic algorithms including well-established and new drugs in a wide variety of ocular pathologies. Drug development will be discussed with the main players in the field, i.e. academy, regulatory affair and the industry relating to the needs expressed by "in practice clinicians".
