TECHNICAL INFORMATION
Audiovisual Equipment
A speakers' ready room, available every day throughout the congress, will be provided for speakers.
If using a Power Point (or any other computer) presentation, please note you need to bring it as a PC / IBM compatible format on a floppy disk (3.5 "/1.44 MB) or on a CD or on a “Memory Stick” (using the USB port in the computer) - no ZIP disk!
You may supply your own laptop computer as a back-up.
Please note that the congress computer in the session hall is being supplied with Windows XP and Office 2000 (at least).
If using a Macintosh laptop computer, please note that you need to supply your own, confirm that it has a VGA socket for external signal and come to check it in the session hall where your lecture is taking place, at least 30 minutes before the start of the session (during breaks).
Please note: 35 mm' slides' projection, overhead projection and Video tape recorders are not standard equipment and will only be made available on request, in writing, to the Congress Secretariat 3 weeks before the congress.
If using video, please ensure that it is VHS multi-system format. Please check it in the session hall where your lecture is taking place, at least 30 minutes before the start of the session (during breaks).
If using transparencies, please inform the technician in the session hall where your lecture is taking place at least 30 minutes before the start of your session.
If using 35 mm slides, you are requested to load them in a slides’ tray and check them in the session hall where your lecture is taking place, at least 30 minutes before the start of the session (during breaks).
INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE PREPARATION OF POSTERS
- Posters may be prepared on one sheet (preferred method) or alternatively on several smaller sheets.
- It is recommended that your poster be 90 cm wide x 120 cm high (portrait style).
- Allocate the top of the poster for the title and authors as stated on the submitted abstract.
- The text, illustrations, etc should be bold enough to be read from a distance of two meters.
- Tacks and technical equipment will be available for the hanging of posters.
- Please refer to the Final Program for the poster board number assigned to you.
Please use the board with the same number.
