Call For Papers

Participants are hereby invited to submit abstracts for POSTER presentations on any of the Congress themes. The abstracts will be reviewed by the Scientific Committee and all accepted abstracts will be published in the Book of Abstracts.

The presenting author will be required to stand by his/her designated poster during the lunch break. In addition special POSTER SESSIONS will be held at the end of each congress day, during which each author will be allocated 2 minutes to present the essence of the poster. The author may accompany his/her presentation with the use of up to two slides.

A facilitator will then lead a discussion incorporating all presentations included in the group.

The deadline for the submission of abstracts is July 10, 1998. Final scheduling and publication in the Book of Abstracts is dependent on the payment of registration fees.

Abstracts must be prepared according to the "Guidelines for Submission of Abstracts" on the enclosed form, and sent to the Congress Secretariat, together with an ASCII file on a standard diskette, or by electronic mail.

GUIDELINES FOR SUBMISSION OF ABSTRACTS

DEADLINE FOR RECEIPT OF ABSTRACTS:
JULY 10, 1998

PREPARING YOUR ABSTRACT

1.	The entire abstract including title, author(s), institution(s), country and acknowledgments, must fit within the rectangle (18 cm height X 13 cm width). Abstracts must be typed in English.
2.	The abstract should be as informative as possible:
a)	state specific objective of study
b)	state method used, if pertinent
c)	summarize results obtained
d)	state conclusions reached.
3.	Standard abbreviations may be used.
4.	Type carefully, using font Helvetica 9, single spaced. Use a laser printer. A dot-matrix printout is NOT acceptable. Please do not fold or fax your abstracts. Title must be typed in CAPITAL LETTERS

Abstracts which are unsuitable for reproduction will not be included in the Book of Abstracts.

All abstracts must be submitted to the following E-mail address: medchemoabstract@kenes.com
and MUST BE ACCOMPANIED BY THE PRESENTING AUTHOR'S FULL INFORMATION i.e. full name and title,
mailing address, fax, telephone and e-mail address.

Please adhere to the size limits. Abstracts should contain no more than 250 words including title, author(s), country and acknowledgments.

a) Abstracts submitted in ASCII Format should be typed or pasted directly in the message itself.
b) Abstracts submitted as word attachments should be attached to the E-mail message, (not more than 1 abstract attachment per e-mail message) using Word 6 or Word 7 for Windows. The details of the presenting author (as detailed above) must be within the body text of the e-mail or contained in the abstract attachment.

The subject title of the e-mail must contain the words:
ABSTRACT - 11TH MCC + NAME OF PRESENTING AUTHOR

It is possible to use graphics and charts within the abstract. No endnotes, footnotes nor frames are acceptable.

Please note that all e-mailed abstract submittals will receive an automatic reply indicating that we have received the abstract. Further confirmation concerning the abstract will only be given after it has been
reviewed by the committee.
