  • Abstracts must be submitted via this website
  • All free communications will be in POSTER format only.
  • Please follow the instructions listed in the website step-by-step.
  • Images, tables, diagrams, graphs will not be accepted.

ABSTRACTS SUBMITTED BY FAX WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.

  • Submission of an abstract acknowledges your acceptance for the abstract to be published in the official Congress Abstract Book.
  • Authors presenting abstracts must be registered participants.
  • Abstracts must be original and must not be or have been published or presented at any other Meeting prior to the Neuropathic Pain Congress being held in Madrid, Spain from May 13-16, 2004..
  • Abstracts must be submitted in English.
  • The abstract must be received by the deadline of January 31, 2004. Abstracts received after the deadline will NOT be considered. Faxed abstracts will NOT be accepted.

ABSTRACT PREPARATION

  • Title of abstract must be in upper case.
  • Author(s) names must be in Upper and Lower case (e.g. J.J.C. Smith)
  • Abstracts should contain no more than 280 words, including acknowledgements.
  • Abstracts should clearly state Background and aims, methods, results and conclusions of the study.
  • Abstracts stating: "data will be discussed in the presentation" will NOT be accepted.
  • Use only standard abbreviations. Place special or unusual abbreviations in parentheses after the full word the first time it appears.
  • Use generic names of drugs. Express numbers as numerals.

ABSTRACT SELECTION AND PRESENTATION

FREE PRESENTATIONS

  • A panel of faculty members will review abstracts and results will be forwarded to the corresponding author.
  • Accepted abstracts will be presented as posters and will be published in the Book of Abstracts.
  • Instructions for preparation of posters will be sent together with notification of acceptance.
  • Authors will be notified by March 1, 2004 whether their abstract has been accepted.
