ABSTRACT SUBMISSION
- Abstracts must be submitted via this website.
- Please follow the instructions listed in the website step-by-step.
- Images, tables, diagrams, graphs must be saved and uploaded
as BMP or JPG files. Other file types cannot be accepted. Please
note that these may be resized to fit in the final printed material.
If you are unable to submit abstracts via the website, please contact
the Secretariat.
ABSTRACTS SUBMITTED BY FAX WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.
- Submission of an abstract acknowledges your acceptance for
the abstract to be published in the official Congress Abstract
Book.
- Authors presenting abstracts must be registered participants.
- Abstracts must be original and must not be or have been published
or presented at any other Meeting prior to the Neuropathic Pain
Congress being held in Madrid, Spain from May 13-16, 2004..
- Abstracts must be submitted in English.
- The abstract must be received by the deadline of January 31,
2004. Abstracts received after the deadline will NOT be considered.
Faxed abstracts will NOT be accepted.
ABSTRACT PREPARATION
- Title of abstract must be in upper case.
- Author(s) names must be in Upper and Lower case (e.g. J.J.C.
Smith)
- Abstracts should contain no more than 500 words, including
acknowledgements/references.
- Abstracts should clearly state Background and aims, methods,
results and conclusions of the study.
- Abstracts stating: "data will be discussed in the presentation"
will NOT be accepted.
- Use only standard abbreviations. Place special or unusual abbreviations
in parentheses after the full word the first time it appears.
- Use generic names of drugs. Express numbers as numerals.
ABSTRACT SELECTION AND PRESENTATION
INVITED SPEAKER PRESENTATIONS / WORKSHOP PRESENTATIONS
- Please note that abstracts for invited / workshop presentations
must be submitted according to the instructions above and should
be received by the general abstract deadline of January 1, 2004.
- Please indicate in the space provided on the abstract form if
for invited lecture or workshop.
- If using a Power Point (or any other computer) presentation,
it must be on an IBM compatible floppy disk (3.5 "/1.44
MB) or on a CD or on a disk on key (using the USB
port in the computer). You may load your presentation on the congress
computer in the same hall as your session, at least 30 minutes
before the start of your session (during breaks).
Please note that double slide projection and video tape recorders
are not standard equipment and will only be made available on
request, in writing, to the Neuropathic Pain Secretariat's office
3 weeks before the meeting.
