Welcome

Dear Colleagues,

On behalf of the Scientific and Organising Committee, we take pleasure in inviting you to the WFN XVIII World Congress on Parkinson’s Disease and Related Disorders, which will be held in Miami Beach, Florida, December 13-16, 2009.

For many years, this congress, under the direction of the ‘Research Group on Parkinsonism and Related Disorders’ of the World Federation of Neurology, has been a key meeting for acquiring the most recent and authoritative information on the etiology, pathophysiology and treatment of Parkinson’s Disease and related disorders.
By bringing together clinical neurologists, neuroscientists, and allied health care professionals, the Congress promotes exchange of basic and clinical science ideas in an effort to improve outcomes for patients.

Keynote lectures will be delivered by distinguished international faculty, while a large number of selected free communications will report new data from clinical centers and basic research laboratories around the globe.

Please approach www.kenes.com/parkinson for further information about the Congress and the program.

Miami has long been a premier tourist destination, acclaimed for its physical beauty and excellent climate. Year round, the fabled white-sand beaches and clear blue waters lapping Miami Beach have beckoned visitors to America’s ‘Riviera’. Others are lured by Miami’s world-class shopping and cosmopolitan dining, its international culture and legendary nightlife. These attributes make Miami a superb backdrop for the congress.

We look forward to welcoming you to Miami Beach in December 2009.

Sincerely yours,

Robert A. Hauser
