CAESAREA
Drive along the
coastal road section of the ancient "via maris" to Caesarea, the
amazing maritime city built 2000 years ago by King Herod the Great. View the
remains of the palaces, theaters and temples that adorned this city during Roman
and Byzantine times. Walk along the crusader walls built 900 years ago as part
of the western defense of the kingdom of Jerusalem. Continue to the ancient
aqueduct located on the sand dunes. Return to Tel Aviv.

THURSDAY,
FEBRUARY 22, 2001 |
OLD JAFFA AND FLEA MARKET
Drive to Old Jaffa, to view
a panorama of the Tel Aviv shoreline. Proceed to the orange colored Church of
St. Peter administered by Franciscan fathers. Enter Kikar Kedumim, the focal
point of Old Jaffa; a square scattered with cafes, shops and studios. Visit the
excavations of buildings dating back to the 2nd century BC. Continue to the flea
market, which teems with interesting artifacts, antiques, household goods, art
and modern furniture.
Both tours depart from the lobby of the David Inter-Continental hotel at
09:00 hours, and return at approximately 13:00 hours.
