We are pleased to invite you to the 3rd International Symposium on Perioperative Cardiac Care - A Joint Anesthesiology-Cardiology Meeting which will take place in Tel Aviv, Israel, 20-23 February, 2001. It is our sincere hope to repeat the great success of the second meeting, which also took place in Tel Aviv, in September 1997.

The perioperative care of cardiac patients for non-cardiac and cardiac surgery provides a special challenge to internists, anesthesiologists, cardiologists and cardiothoracic, vascular and general surgeons alike.

The optimal care of these patients involves topics such as preoperative risk stratification, optimization of cardiac function and intra and postoperative management of complications. Therefore, a joint meeting is of great importance to all medical specialties.

We believe that the program for this third meeting will be stimulating and informative, with sessions devoted to all aspects of care for the patient with cardiac problems in the perioperative period.

On behalf of the Organizing Committee, we invite you to actively participate in this multidisciplinary meeting and look forward to the pleasure of your company at this event.

The meeting will also allow participants an opportunity to see, feel and taste the Holy Land flavors, at the beginning of the third millennium - a particularly exciting time in Israel.
