I trust that you
follow the disturbing news from our Region. As in the
past, our aim has been to promote excellent science AND peace, in this
region. The last meeting was held in Israel and Jordan, and these two
goals were accomplished.
There are signs
that things are going to get in order here, and thus, I
would like to extend the deadline for the submission of abstracts until
December 20, 2001.
I hope that by then
the situation will be safe and will look promising for
March 2002. Otherwise, I will let you know, without delay, what are the
plans. We might consider to postpone the Meeting to a later date.
I would like to
urge each of you, and in particular the invited speakers,
to send in their abstract/s. I will also be able to specify the
financial
support.
It would be nice to
hear from you, now, about this issue.
