Skin Cancer Foundation

Since its founding in 1979, The Skin Cancer Foundation has set the standard for educating the public and the medical profession about skin cancer, its prevention by means of sun protection, the need for early detection and prompt, effective treatment. It is the only international organization devoted solely to combating the world’s most common cancer, now occurring at epidemic levels. The Foundation’s mission is to decrease the incidence of the disease by means of public and professional education, medical training, and research. For more information, visit www.skincancer.org, or call 1-800-SKIN-490.

The Skin Cancer Foundation is committed to stopping skin cancer on a global basis.  To that end, the Foundation has emerged as a leader on the international stage by sponsoring two international conferences on skin cancer, the International Dermatology Exchange Program and the World Congress on Cancers of the Skin.

The World Congress on Cancers of the Skin is sponsored jointly by The Skin Cancer Foundation and dermatological organizations of the host country.  Held in a different country every two years, the Congress allows physicians a unique opportunity to interact with distinguished international faculty and learn about breakthrough discoveries in the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of all types of skin cancer.
