The weather in Tel Aviv in May is warm, with an average temperature of 21°C.
CURRENCY
The New Israeli Shekel (NIS), is the official national currency. All the major credit cards are accepted in Israel in places displaying the emblem at the entrance.
CME ACCREDITATION
An application for CME credits has been made to the European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (EACCME). The EACCME is an institution of the European Union of Medical Specialists (UEMS), www.uems.net.
EACCME credits are recognized by the American Medical Association towards the Physician’s Recognition Award (PRA). To convert EACCME credit to AMA PRA category 1 credit, contact the AMA
AIRPORT INFORMATION AND TRAVEL TO TEL AVIV
Ben Gurion International Airport is served by many daily direct flights from most destinations. The International airport is 20-30 minutes from the city and private taxis are available 24 hours a day, as well as a regular train service. Approximate cost is NIS120 ($30) per taxi to the city centre.
EUROPEWIDE ACCREDITATION OF THE CONGRESS
Once the Scientific Program has been finalized, an application will be submitted to the European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (EACCME) to provide accreditation by the following CME activity for medical specialists. The EACCME is an institution of the European Union of Medical Specialists (UEMS): www.uems.net.
VISA
Most Europeans do not require an entry visa for Israel. Please consult the Israeli Embassy or Consulate nearest to you for specific details relating to Visas.
