| Participants are hereby invited to submit
abstracts on any of the above mentioned Meeting themes, on other related topics including
case studies, and/or to propose additional themes. The Organizing Committee will review
all abstracts and all accepted abstracts will be published in the Book of Abstracts. The
papers will be divided into oral presentations and posters. Authors are asked to express a
preference. The Organizing Committee retains the option of deciding on the presentation
form, based on the number/type of contributions, but will try to abide by the author's
expressed preference.
The deadline for the submission of abstracts is March 15, 1999.
Final scheduling and publication in the Abstract Book is dependent upon payment of
registration fees.
Abstracts must be prepared according to the "Guidelines for Submission of
Abstracts" on the downloadable form (word 6/95 format), and sent to:
Mr. John S. Elston BSc MD FRCS
Consultant Opthalmic Surgeon
The Oxford Eye Hospital
The Radcliffe Infirmary NHS Trust
Woodstock Road
Oxford, OX2 6HE, UK
Abstracts accepted for presentation will be published in the Abstract Book exactly as
submitted: therefore abstracts must be submitted camera-ready. Avoid errors, corrections
and misspellings.
Posters: The dimensions of the poster board are: 90 cm
(3') wide x 1.70 m (5'6") long. It is suggested that the poster be 90 cm x 1 m (any
longer, and it becomes difficult to see). Allocate the top of the poster for the title and
authors as stated on the submitted abstract. The text, illustrations etc. should be bold
enough to be read from a distance of two meters (6 feet).
Pushpins will be provided to mount illustrations.
At the Meeting, please refer to the final program to find the poster number assigned to
you. Use the board with the same number. |
