Fees for all Participants include: participation in scientific sessions; printed
material and an invitation to the Get Together Reception.
Fees for Accompanying Persons include: an invitation to the Get Together Reception and
participation in two half-day tours scheduled to coincide with the scientific sessions.
Registration Cancellation Policy
Refund of registration fees will be made as follows:
Airmail post-marked* before June 30, 1999 - full refund less US$40 handling fee
Airmail post-marked* from July 1, to August 19, 1999 - 50% refund
Airmail post-marked* after August 20, 1999 - no refund
* Faxed or electronically mailed
Visas
For participants from most countries, a visa to Israel is not necessary, but
we suggest that you check with your travel agent. For participants from countries without
diplomatic relations with Israel, please write directly to the Secretariat no later than
SIX WEEKS prior to the Meeting, giving the following details: full name and residential
address, date and place of birth, passport number, date and place of issue and expiry
date, flight details (arrival and departure dates and flight numbers). The Secretariat
will do its best to arrange for a visa to await you at Ben-Gurion International Airport. |
Letter of Invitation
Upon request, the Secretariat of the Meeting will send a personal invitation to
participate. It should be understood that such an invitation is only meant to help
visitors to raise travel funds or obtain a visa. It is not a commitment on the part of the
organizers to provide any financial support, and it is not a notification that the
abstract has been accepted for presentation.
Climate
The weather in Jerusalem in September is warm and pleasant during the day and cooler in
the evening. Temperatures range from 17° - 28°C (62° - 83°F).
Clothing
Informal for all occasions. Should you be planning a trip to the Dead Sea or Red
Sea do not forget to pack a swimsuit, bring sunglasses, a hat and comfortable walking
shoes, as well as sunscreen protection creams.
