International Journal of Stroke
Most medical communities are eager to learn how to help their patients with stroke, which by the year 2025 will be the greatest disabler of people worldwide. Blackwell Publishing is pleased to announce the partnership of a new journal with the International Stroke Society (ISS).
The International Journal of Stroke is a welcome addition to the international stroke journal landscape in that it concentrates on the clinical aspects of stroke with basic science contributions in areas of clinical interest. To facilitate the international nature of the journal, our Associate Editors from Europe, Asia, North America and South America coordinate segments of the journal. Reviews of current topics are broadly based to encompass not only recent advances of global interest but also those which may be more important in certain regions. Items of news interest from all parts of the world that relate to all areas of stroke are also featured.
The second, and most recent, issue of the journal features the following topics:
• Emergency assessment of minor stroke and ITA
• Stenting: The European point of view
• The SAINT trials
• Caplan on recent history of stroke
Published quarterly the International Journal of Stroke is available both online and in print with the first issue published in February 2006. Institutions will find that this is a 'must have' journal for their department. The International Journal of Stroke is available freely online for 2006.
