REGISTRATION / HOSPITALITY / INFORMATION / TRAVEL / SECRETARIAT DESKS

Registration desks will be situated at the Hotel for the duration of the Conference.
Registration will open on Wednesday, March 21, 2001
at 16:00 - 20:00.
The desks will reopen on Thursday, March 22 at 07:30 and will stay open throughout the sessions.

BADGE

On registering you will receive your Conference kit in which you will find your name badge. You are kindly requested to wear your badge during all Conference sessions and events.

SLIDE PREVIEW

All session halls will be equipped with slide projection and an overhead projector. Arrangements for data projection were made for those who have requested it ahead of time. Speakers should check their slides and arrange them in the carousel no later than 30 minutes prior to the beginning of their session. Please collect them immediately afterwards.

POSTERS

Posters will be on display on Thursday and on Friday and will change every day. Your poster should be displayed as per the Board No. in the Program. Posters are to be mounted from 07.45 to 08.30 on your assigned day. Please remove your poster at the conclusion of sessions on your assigned day. Poster presenters are requested to be present at their poster board during coffee breaks.

CERTIFICATES OF ATTENDANCE

Certificates of Attendance will be included in your participant kit.

LIST OF PARTICIPANTS

A list of participants who have registered prior to the Conference is displayed on the bulletin board. Please amend/add your name and address to the list.

CLIMATE

The weather in Istanbul in March is cool and rain is possible. Maximum - 11° C (52° F) and minimum - 3° C (37 °F).

CLOTHING

Informal for all occasions; please bring sunglasses, rain coat and comfortable walking shoes, as well as jackets for the cool evenings.

If a participant needs a letter of invitation to attend the Conference, please request it from the Conference Secretariat at the address below. This invitation, however, does not imply a commitment to payment of any expenses.

VISAS

Participants from most countries do not require a visa to Turkey, but we suggest that you ask your travel agent to check for you.

PERSONAL INSURANCE

We recommend that all participants take out personal travel and health insurance.

Turkish Airlines is the official carrier of the Conference and will be granting the following discount to registered participants and accompanying persons:

- on all fares, published at APT (business/economy rates) - 50% discount
- on all fares, published at APT (excursion/apex/pex/spex) - 10% discount
- on all fares of T.H.Y. - special 10% discount

ABSTRACTS

The Conference abstracts will be published as a supplement of the European Journal of Neurology and will be distributed on site to all participants.
