Call for abstracts
Deadline for submission of abstracts: Extended to May 12, 2008
Participants who would like to present an oral or poster presentation must submit an abstract for consideration by the Scientific Committee. The abstracts should be submitted in English and arrive no later than May 12, 2008.
The Scientific Committee will determine whether abstracts will be accepted as oral or poster presentations, with consideration to be given to the author's preference.
The presenting author is required to ensure that all co-authors are aware of the content of the abstract before submission to the Secretariat.
Only the abstracts of registered presenting authors will be included in the program and book of abstracts.
GUIDELINES FOR THE PREPARATION OF ABSTRACTS:
- All abstracts must be submitted in English.
- The abstract title must be in upper case letters and should be brief and specific.
Please do not use abbreviations.
- Author(s) names must be in upper and lower case (e.g. J.J. Smith).
The presenting author’s name must be indicated.
- Provide Department, Institute/Hospital, City and Country for all authors.
- Abstracts should not exceed 250 words, including acknowledgements.
- Abstracts should substantially outline the content of the presentation, including conclusion.
- Abstracts stating: “data will be discussed in the presentation “ will NOT be accepted.
- Use only standard abbreviations. Place special or unusual abbreviations in parentheses after the full word the first time it appears in the abstract.
- Use generic names of drugs.
- Express numbers as numerals.
- PLEASE DO NOT SUBMIT MULTIPLE COPIES OF THE SAME ABSTRACT
Images, tables, diagrams and graphs must be saved and uploaded as BMP or JPG files. Other file types cannot be accepted. Please note that these may be resized to fit the final printed material and will automatically reduce the number of words allowed in the abstract body.
