The weather in Florence in April is pleasant. Temperatures range from 9°C - 20°C.

HOW TO GET THERE
Important Information: Due to maintenance work Florence International Airport “Amerigo Vespucci” will be closed. All flights to and from Florence will now be diverted to Pisa or to Bologna.

Public transportation from Bologna Airport to Florence: There is a shuttle that goes directly to the main train station in Bologna. From the main station in Bologna, direct trains to Florence are provided.

  • The shuttle from Bologna airport runs from 06:05 to 23:45 (every 15-20 minutes). The trip lasts approximately 20 minutes. For specific time table and prices of the shuttle, please note the following link: http://www.atc.bo.it
  • From Bologna main station, there are Eurostar trains, regional trains and frequent intercity trains (departures at: 06:10, 06:38, 06:46, 07:12, and 07:20 in the early morning). A complete schedule and price list can be found on: www.trenitalia.com . The trip from Bologna to Florence by train takes approximately 1 hour. The cost starts from €4.65 to €18.59 (first class in Eurostar)
  • The approximate cost of a taxi is €155 + railway fee

Public transportation from Pisa Airport to Florence: From Pisa airport there are direct trains to Florence main station at scheduled times and connecting trains which pass through Pisa main station.

  • The cost of tickets is € 5.10
  • The approximate cost of a taxi is € 140 + railway fee

By car: The branches of the Italian highway network that come into Florence permit fast travel to the rest of the country and bordering European countries. Any of the four exits between Firenze South and Firenze North on the A1 Autostrada will bring you within 4 kilometers of the city.

CYBER CAFÉ
A cyber café for participants’ use will be available at the Palazzo dei Congressi during exhibition hours.

SMOKING POLICY
Smoking is prohibited at all times in the meeting halls, exhibit halls and restrooms. Your compliance is appreciated.

MOBILE PHONES
Please note that mobile phones must be switched off during all sessions.

TOURS
Triumph Viaggi e Incentive Travel will operate the tours desk during the congress.

CLOTHING
Informal for all occasions; please bring sunglasses and walking shoes.

PERSONAL INSURANCE
We recommend that all participants take out a personal travel and health insurance for their trip.

EXHIBITION
A professional exhibition will be held concurrently with the Congress.
