Dear Colleagues,

On behalf of the Organizing Committee for the Fifth International Congress on Vascular Dementia, we are pleased to announce that the next congress will take place in Budapest, Hungary from Novmber 8-11, 2007.

Our aim is to once again discuss the new developments in the area of Vascular Dementia. During our meeting in Budapest we shall have an opportunity to deliberate on large and small vessel brain diseases and how they contribute to cognitive decline. We shall try to identify the specific psychological markers, if any, of vascular dementia, and also the genetic factors involved. The overlap with Alzheimer's disease will be a central issue, as will be the white matter changes frequently seen in vascular dementia.

We look forward to welcoming you to Budapest in November 2007 and hope that this meeting will be a memorable experience for all of you, where you will be able to further friendships and strengthen scientific collaboration.
