Palace of Culture And Science
Palace of Culture And ScienceThe Palace of Culture and Science is the highest building in Poland and the third highest in Europe. It was constructed in 1955 and is 231m high. It is used for exhibitions, conferences and events and it accommodates theaters, cinemas and museums.

The Palace has become a central landmark of Warsaw with its main tower with four clocks just under the pinnacle. The marble floors, crystal chandeliers, mosaics and bas reliefs, in a style characteristic of the 1950s, have brought a mark of uniqueness into the Palace. The viewing terrace 114m above the ground opens up to a skyline of a dynamic city: the old town, palaces, churches and parks, modern buildings, suburbs and forests on the Mazowsze plain surrounding Warsaw.
