Dear Colleagues,

It gives us a great pleasure to invite you to participate in the 4 th Congress of the WSPID (WSPID 2005) scheduled to take place in Warsaw, Poland, September 1-4, 2005.

warsaw  town squareChoosing Warsaw , the World Society for Pediatric Infectious Diseases would like to create worldwide partnership that can cross borders. It will be a great opportunity for scientific discussions concerning the major problems of infectious diseases in the world including the most important topics for physicians from Central and East Europe . We are very happy that many excellent and well-known speakers from all over the world have accepted the invitation of the International Scientific Committee to give lectures during WSPID 2005 in Warsaw . We hope also to receive a significant number of abstracts in order to have an intense scientific interaction. We invite you to present your experience concerning some diagnostic and therapeutic aspects of paediatric infectious diseases and to share ideas about the powerful methods of prevention.

 

We hope that you will participate in WSPID 2005, together with your accompanying person/s, taking advantage of your time to explore the beautiful country of Poland . The congress will take place in the city of Warsaw in walking distance from the Old Town – Warsaw ’s prime attraction – registered on the World List of Cultural and National Heritage of UNESCO. You will have the opportunity of hearing Chopin’s music in the Palace Upon the Water in Lazienki Park and visit the place of birth of Chopin in Zelazowa Wola near Warsaw . Visiting Poland gives you also the chance to make a tour to the charming city of Cracow with one of the oldest universities in Europe – Jagiellonian University founded in 1366 and the Wieliczka Salt Mine with galleries and chambers more than 100 meters below the ground. In September you can also enjoy the early Autumn in the wild forest of National Park in Bialowieza where you can see European bison.
