| PRESS GUIDELINES
Background
- WSPID is an independant scientific society
- Press activities may not interfere with scientific activities during
the meeting
- The unique atmosphere and the identity of the WSPID meetings should
remain untouched
- Sponsors may not use an WSPID meeting for advertisement or promotional
purposes other than agreed in the contract with WSPID
Rules
- Press must clarify the purpose of attendancy
- Press must direct a request for attendancy to the Board / president
- Press must pay for facilities used (room, coffee, lunch, etc) and will
receive a special badge. The height of the fee per day is equal to the
one-day registration fee.
- Press must inform the Board and meeting chairman of any published or
broadcast report and provide a copy in advance.
Facilities for press
- Interviews in the press room
- Notes during sessions only after agreement with chairman and speakers
- Photographs of persons in the press room
- Photographs of activities during breaks, in the exhibition hall and
walking area.
Not allowed
- Interviews in the walking area, in poster rooms or in lecture hall
- Movies
- Hidden reporting
