Dear Friends and Colleagues,
Pediatric Infectious Diseases are a worldwide medical problem. Thousands of physicians like you seek to prevent and treat these diseases by the best means possible, using the best information. The World Society for Pediatric Infectious Diseases was founded twelve years ago with the purpose of bringing together members of national and regional organizations in this specialty for an international congress, during which data could be exchanged and new friendships forged. All of the regional societies from Europe, North America, Latin America, Asia, Australasia and Africa participate in the WSPID. Previous meetings have been held in Acapulco, Mexico (1996); Manila, Philippines (1999); Santiago, Chile (2002) and Warsaw, Poland (2005).
The Fifth meeting of the WSPID will be held in Bangkok, Thailand,
November 15-18, 2007.
Bangkok is a vibrant, cosmopolitan city and is a wonderful place for a glimpse of traditional arts, architecture, religion, and other aspects of the culture of the Thai people. Our colleagues from the Asian Society for Pediatric Infectious Diseases will help us organize the scientific and social events. We invite you to attend this congress, where eminent speakers will tell us about the latest discoveries in our field, and where there will be ample other activities.
Come and join your colleagues in pediatric infectious diseases from around the world, present your latest data and listen to theirs.
Yours sincerely,
Ron Dagan, MD
President, World Society for Pediatric Infectious Diseases
